The House Agriculture Committee has approved in the late morning of Wednesday, 1st, a request to call the minister-chief of staff, Antonio Palocci , that he attend the committee to explain the increase of his patrimony.
The government base attempts, this time, reverse the convening of the Chief Minister's Office, Antonio Palocci, so he explains the increase of its heritage and talk about the consulting services provided by the company that he owned the Project. The meeting is adjourned because governments do not conform with the result and urge the Commission President, Mr Lira Maia (DEM-PA), to redo the vote. The meeting should resume by early afternoon.
The approval of the convening of Palocci was the result of a smart action from the opposition and government supporters of a nap. By government accounts, the base had 12 against 12 opposition MPs at the committee meeting. The vote was symbolic, with no record of the vote, following the rules of procedures. Minutes before, a strategy of opposition, the committee had already conducted a roll call vote. The charter establishes the period of one hour between this type of vote.
According to the website of the Board, the committee has 40 members, of whom 28 are from parties allied base and 12 are from opposition parties.
The application was approved recently introduced by Representative Onyx Lorenzoni (DEM-RS). If effected, the minister may not refuse to attend the Board, at risk of committing a crime committed. The application does not set date for the hearing.
government pushes to save Palocci
The tactic of waiting for a nap in the committees convene Palocci had been announced by the opposition last week. But in the first attempts, the opposition did not obtain success, according to an 'operation muffles' waged by the government. Just last week, Dilma succumbed to pressure from evangelical bench and suspended the distribution kit to save anti-homophobia Palocci. Former President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva also was activated to assist Palocci.
